Beth Greiner

Beth joined the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation in 1998 as Vice President and was recently name President in January of 2004. Her responsibilities included board and program management and fund-raising efforts for the River City Roundup Fair and Festival.

She holds a Bachelors of Arts with a double major in Journalism and Political Science and a Masters of Public Administration from Iowa State University. Prior to joining the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation, she served as Office Manager for Senator Charles Grassley in his Washington Office and as Assistant Director to the Iowa State Fair Foundation in Des Moines Iowa.

She is president-elect of the Nebraska Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Public Relations Chair of the Junior League of Omaha, Community Relations Chair of the Rose Theater Guild, and a member of the Omaha Agribusiness Club. In 2001 Beth was named as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Omahans by the Omaha Jaycees.

Matt Gunderson

Matt is originally from Yankton, South Dakota and graduated from South Dakota State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and minors in Agriculture Business and Agriculture Marketing. 

Prior to joining the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation, he served as 4-H Activities & Events Manager for University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and as an Extension Assistant in Youth Development/4-H for the South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service where he oversaw the 4-H youth livestock and horse programs. 

Matt joined the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation in March, 2006.  In his role, he works directly with the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Exposition, Auction Buyers Club (ABC) Committee and River City Roundup fundraising.  He is also responsible for board member activities and program assessment along with fiscal and human resources responsibilities.  In addition, he serves on the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest Management Committee in Louisville, Kentucky and also serves as Chairman of the National 4-H Livestock Skillathon Contest.

Christy Farnstrom

Christy is a 1998 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she received a degree in Agricultural Journalism. She is a native of Seward, Nebraska.

Locally, Farnstrom is a member of the Omaha Agri-Business Club and the Omaha Public School Agricultural Advisory Council. On a national level, she is a member of the Livestock Publications Council and the North American Livestock Show & Rodeo Managers’ Association.

She has been with the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation for seven years and currently serves as the Livestock Show Manager along with working on marketing and ticket sales for River City Roundup.

Meghan Spence

Meghan joined the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben staff as Event Coordinator for Ak-Sar-Ben's River City Roundup in November, 2007.  Meghan is a native of Omaha, graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in Marketing in 2006. 

Prior to joining Ak-Sar-Ben, she worked for three and a half years as Event and Vendor Manager for a corporate event planning company.  In a volunteer role, Meghan has assisted with ARCR over the past ten years while most recently she served as a member of the Corporate Ticket Committee and as a Douglas County Fair Superintendent.  She also is a member of the Omaha Jaycees.

Sue Eiserman

Sue will assist with the planning and organization of the Coronation Ball as an Assistant.  She joined the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation in December, 2005. 

Sue previously worked in Kansas City for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for 13 years.  She worked various positions for the NCAA.  Aspects of her job included working the Media Coordination Committee for the NCAA Final Four, and national and international media.

Erin graduated in May of 2005 from the University of Northern Iowa with a Public Relations Major and minor in marketing. She has served as an intern for three summers with the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation and River City Roundup and officially joined the staff as Program Coordinator.

Originally from Treynor, Iowa Erin’s other responsibilities will also include serving as the RCR Ticket Coordinator, Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo Committee Liaison along with working on both marketing and public relations for River City Roundup and the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben.
