Volunteer Information

General Information

For 29 years Ak-Sar-Ben's River City Rodeo & Stock Show has relied on a large group of volunteers, who are committed to producing an annual fair and festival that is dedicated to the celebration of the region’s heritage and agricultural roots. In doing so Ak-Sar-Ben's River City Rodeo & Stock Show is able to educate and benefit families throughout Omaha and the heartland.

Over 600 hard-working and dedicated volunteers work on 22 committees which make up the backbone of Ak-Sar-Ben's River City Rodeo & Stock Show. We are proud of their dedication and commitment be home to the 83rd Annual Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Stock Show, the 63rd Annual Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo. Not only do they volunteer their time, but also their energy, efforts and resources to plan and implement all of the activities held each September.

While contributing countless hours each year the volunteers are the driving force that keeps the event running while funding numerous educational scholarships to the Heartlands youth.  We are honored that they join us year after year!
