Coronation and Scholarship Ball Mission

The Ak-Sar-Ben Coronation and Scholarship Ball has a mission of promoting, recognizing and celebrating volunteerism, philanthropy and community pride. More than $3 million in scholarship funding has been raised from Coronation Ball proceeds.

Since 1988 the annual black-tie event has supported scholarships to young people in the Ak-Sar-Ben region. Currently the program funds 50 need-based scholarships each year. The program is administered in conjunction with the Horatio Alger Association.
