KEARNEY, NE (August 5, 2015) – The AKSARBEN Foundation and RFD-TV are sponsoring A Salute to Kearney, a free concert and fireworks show featuring four-time Grammy Award winner Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives. The event will be held August 16 at 8 pm at Yanney Heritage Park. Hosting the event will be AKSARBEN’s 118th King and Queen, Mike Yanney and Morgan Kristensen. Yanney is a Kearney native and former investment banker who founded America First Companies, now called Burlington Capital Group. HHS GRAD WINS NATIONAL 4-H SCHOLARSHIP
Hastings native Rebecca Church couldn’t have asked for a better end to her 4-H career. She had been in 4-H for 13 years, and is a fourth-generation 4-H’er and farm kid, she said. She’s done all sorts of 4-H projects through the years, working with sheep, beef and swine in the livestock categories and several non-livestock projects as well. Read More
